Imagining Reality is one of the lessons that I'm studying and as in introduction to this film based lesson we were given the task to, in groups, go around town and interview people about happiness. Mainly about their own happiness and the happiness of the farnham community. A few question ideas we had were: What does happiness mean to you?, Would you consider yourself/life happy?, Is Farnham a happy place? My group was made up of myself, Suzanne, Adelaide, Megan, Gareth, and Paige. Adelaide has her own DSLR camera (Canon T5/ EOS 1200D), so we were able to use that for the interviews.
At first I thought that this task would be easy but once we arrived in town it became a lot more daunting that I and my classmates would have to actually go up to strangers and talk to them. Personally I'm not that kind of person so I feel my general excitement for the course had me overestimating myself. After being turned down by a few people we all got a lot more comfortable with it and I think it was actually a great task to get us use to having to interview people in the future. For the interviews we ending up only having three people that wanted to do the interview; Mavis, Sophie, and Lisa. I think the interviews went well and we got some good content. Although the sound quality wasn't too good and this could have been something that we could have prevented.
